The key element of our philosophy involves tapping into the emotional connections of giving and the unique place that sweets occupies in Christmas culture and traditions. We wanted Berthas Jul (Norwegian for X-mass) to be traditional-yet contemporary, Norwegian-yet international, customized-yet not foreign to the grocery store ambiance. The product needed an identity that would express these ideals, and with our own well-developed emotional connection to everything sweet, we felt we were uniquely qualified for the project.
